Recent STUDY has found that the Mediterranean diet, along with other factors, may have the ability to prolong the lifespan of women to 15 years! In men 8 years.
Mediterranean diet is high in vegetables, olive oil, fruit, nuts, fish, and whole grains and low in meat and alcohol. Research has also been held for 10 years by scientists at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, followed 120 thousand men and women aged 55-69 years in 1986 to 1996.
