Blood type diet studied by D'Adamo shows the physiological effects of lectins into the body. Lectin is a protein commonly found in food. Each type of food can affect the metabolism and composition of the blood thus affecting the balance of stamina. Blood composition has two important components of the antigen and antibody.
Reasons for the importance of blood classification by D'Adamo is a blood type that is identified with a sign surface antigens so that when red blood cells to transport a foreign object such as viruses and bacteria, it will be immediately marked as a "friend" or "enemy".
